– 세계가 공명하다: 12개국 30명의 예술가들이 선보이는 ‘함께 나아가고 공명하는’ 동시대 예술의 장 –

『공진(GONGJIN)』은 ‘함께 앞으로 나아감’과 ‘함께 울림’이라는 두 가지 의미를 지닌 단어입니다. 2025 Co-MMotion 국제 미디어 아트 페스타는 12개국에서 활동하는 30명의 국제 예술가들이 회화, 설치, 비디오, 디지털 영상, 퍼포먼스 등 다양한 예술적 형식을 통해 오늘날 우리가 직면한 동시대적 과제를 탐구하고 새롭게 해석하는 공진의 장(場)을 마련하고자 기획되었습니다.

이번 전시는 다양한 문화적·지리적 배경을 지닌 작가들이 ‘공진’이라는 공통된 화두를 중심으로, 서로의 사유와 감각을 어떻게 울림으로 연결하고 앞으로 나아갈 수 있는가를 탐색하는 실험적 시도입니다. 작가들의 창의적 표현과 실험의 자취는 전시장 안에서 다채로운 언어로 구체화되며, 이는 세 가지 주요 영역별 테마로 확장됩니다.

- 생태 공진 (Ecological GONGJIN)

감각적이고 시적인 예술적 언어를 통해 기후변화, 생물다양성의 상실, 인간과 자연의 관계에 이르기까지 동시대가 직면한 생태적 도전을 다룹니다.

- 문화유산 공진 (Cultural Heritage GONGJIN)

지역의 역사와 전통, 집단 기억, 문화적 유산을 탐구함으로써 개인과 공동체의 정체성이 형성되는 과정을 조명하고, 새로운 정체성이 드러나는 방식을 성찰하도록 초대합니다.

- 테크놀로지 공진(Technology GONGJIN)

급속히 발전하는 기술이 우리의 인식·소통·연결 방식을 어떻게 변화시키는지 탐색하며, 디지털 미래가 지니고 있는 도전과 가능성을 동시에 모색합니다.

《공진》 전시는 단순히 다국적 작가들의 작품을 한자리에 모으는 것을 넘어, 서로 다른문화적 배경을 가진 예술가들의 작업이 어떻게 ‘공명’할 수있는가를 보여주는 실험적 장치입니다. 개별 작품들이 발하는 목소리가 전시장 안에서 어떤 화음을 만들어내는지, 그 과정에서 어떤 새로운 의미가 생성되는지를 관찰할 수 있는 특별한 기회를 제공합니다.

이번 전시는 작가들의 창의적 표현과 공유된 비전을 지향하는 역동적 플랫폼으로 발족된 Co-MMotion 국제 미디어 아트 페스타의 서막을 알리는 향연입니다. 관객들은 서울에서 처음 펼쳐지는 **《공진》**을 통해 동시대 예술의 울림을 경험하게 될 것입니다.

– Resonating Across Borders: 30Artists from 12 Nations in a Shared Movement of Contemporary Art –

“GONGJIN” carries two intertwined meanings: to move forward together and to resonate together.

The 2025 Co-MMotion International Media Art Festa brings together 30 artists from 12 countries, presenting painting, installation, video, digital media, and performance. This platform is designed to explore and reinterpret the pressing questions of our time through the language of contemporary art.

This exhibition is an experimental attempt to see how artists from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds can connect their thoughts and sensibilities under the shared theme of resonance. Within the exhibition, their creative expressions unfold in multiple artistic languages, expanding into three main thematic currents:

- Ecological Resonance

Works that address urgent ecological challenges—climate change, the loss of biodiversity, and the evolving relationship between humanity and nature—through sensorial and poetic modes of expression.

- Cultural Heritage Resonance

Projects that reflect on history, tradition, collective memory, and cultural heritage, inviting audiences to consider how identity is shaped and how new identities emerge.

- Technological Resonance

Explorations of how rapidly advancing technologies transform the way we perceive, communicate, and connect, probing both the challenges and possibilities of our digital futures.

Marking the inaugural edition of the Co-MMotion International Media Art Festa, this exhibition serves as both a dynamic platform for artistic vision and the beginning of a larger shared journey.

In Seoul, audiences will encounter the living resonance of contemporary art—an experience of movement, vibration, and connection across borders.
